Jess’s executive leadership & management experience spans across government, commercial and not-for-profit sectors.
Over the past 15 years, Jess has managed and led recreation centres, health, community, disability, aboriginal, and youth services, across QLD, the NT, and WA.
Jess has been awarded for her leadership, business management and community impact, including a 40under40 in 2021, and leading Cahoots to win Non-Profit of the Year 2020.
Jess has qualifications in Governance, Business, Finance, Management, Executive Coaching, has completed the AICD Company Directors Course, and an MBA.
Having grown up living below the poverty line, and in interim foster care, Jess has dedicated her adult life to helping others, through leadership and advocacy. Jess advocates actively for community causes by supporting and leading challenges to raise awareness, through fundraising activities, such as, Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Abseiling the Central Park building, International House Building Projects & Cycling 500km to Uluru from Alice Springs in one day.
Over the past year, Jess has consulted with regional Local Government projects, working on organisational reviews and executive projects, from the West Kimberley to Esperance. She is currently the Chairperson of Loop Upcycling and proudly commenced as the CEO of Gumala Investments in August 2024.
